Pre-War Type Standard Late Road Models and WD16H 1" Type Handlebars - 1.0" diameter

This item is for good quality chromed 1.0" diameter handlebars which are of an upright road model type - that is similr to the profile used on Norton roadgoing models from mid to the late 1930's.  Addtiionally, when reversed and turned upside down - their profile is not that far removed from the 1" competition types (i.e. pre-War Manx) we have manufactured in the past, and may also be considered for this purpose.  1" Handlebars are very difficult to find and these are nice quality chrome and come with black nylon plugs either end.  See detail listing for more information.  Price is per pair.

Norton Gardengate Frame - Plunger Spindle Alloy Top Plugs - Pair

This item is for a pair of the correct shape and profile, alloy plugs that were fitted into the top of the rear Plunger spindles that were fitted to all Norton Gardengate frames - from 1939 to the early 1950's.  Original plugs are often badly damaged, broken off or have just come out making the top of the plunger suspension area look messy.  These plugs are CNC manufactured to be lightly tapped into the original spindle holes and will greatly improve the appearance of the rear end, where they sit quite prominently.  The plug heads are lightly linished and polished.  Price is per pair of plugs

Norton Gardengate Frame - Plunger Complete Rear Wheel Adjuster Assemblies - Pair

This item is for a pair of complete rear wheel adjuster assemblies - with all parts patterned as per the original items, to fit Gardengate Plunger Norton Models (singles and twins).  It consists of two fabricated wheel spindle holders (that wrap around the alloy plunger castings), two distinctive square head bolts - of the correct profile, two dished plates, two washers and four adjuster bolts - the locknuts being a smaller spanner sise than the main nuts - all as per the original Norton design.  The fabricated spindle holders are in nickel plated steel, while all the other parts are CNC manufactured in stainless steel.  Price is for two complete assemblies (i.e. enough for one bike).  See Detail listing for more information

Norton Gardengate Frame - Plunger Rear Chain Adjuster Caps - Stainless Steel (Pair)

This item is for a pair of the distinctive dished caps that were fitted to the rear of all Norton Gardengate Plunger suspension castings (i..e plunger frames manufactured from 1939 to the early 1950's on all models), and fitted over the alloy castings, allowing for adjustment of the rear chain adjuster.  These items are copied from an original pattern and are CNC manufactured in stainless steel, so will not rust and look very pretty.  Price is for a pair of the caps

This item listing is for a pair of the distinctive square headed rear wheel adjustment bolts, adjustment nuts and locknuts, to fit Gardengate Plunger Norton Models. The 'Gardengate' was the plunger type spring frame that Norton adopted for all sprung models from 1939, through to the early 1950's an was offered for OHV and SOHC roadgoing singles, pre-Featherbed (Dominator) twins and the racing model Manx Nortons from 1939-50.  All parts CNC made in stainless steel with correct BSC threads.  See detail isting for more information

Norton Gardengate Frame - Plunger Chain Adjuster Nuts - Stainless Steel (2 large/2 small)

This item is for 4 of the correct profile and spanner size 5/16"nuts to fit the original Gardengate Plunger rear wheel adjusters, CNC manufactured in stainless steel.  The main adjuster nuts are double chamfered and deeper than commercially available nuts, while the adjuster nuts are 'reduced head', i.e. a smaller spanner size than normal 5/16" nuts, to allow for easier adjustment - both types being replicated from the original Norton nuts.  Price is for 4 nuts.

Norton Gardengate Frame - Plunger Spindle Bottom: Extra Thick Washer - Stainless Steel (Pair)

Product no.: 1013 11181

This item is for a pair of the extra thick washers that were fitted under the head of the plunger spindle bolt on Norton Gardengate plunger frames.  They were made extremely thick, so when the bolt was tightened, it would pull the plunger spindle taper into the bottom frame casting without bending.  These are as per the originals in thickness, but in stainless steel so will not rust.  Price is per pair.

Norton Upright/Laydown Gearbox: Clutch Cable Adjuster/Locknut - Lightened Racing Type (2 Parts)

This Item listing is for a 'lightened' version of the very distinctive conical shaped, knurled, gearbox clutch cable adjustment bolt and locknut. Similar to the normal road version - this version also has 6 holes bored radially around the conical part to reduce weight.  Probably not original Norton practice, but as the original adjuster was quite heavy - a likely mod that will add 'bling' to your M30/M40 or Manx, while still allowing the benefits of this useful adjuster.  See listing detail for more information.  Price is for bolt and matching locknut.

Norton Single Models: Single Row Wheel Bearing

Single row ball bearing used on all Single Cylinder models (pre-full width hubs) on the plain hub side front hub and also on the brake side for pre-featherbed conical (SOHC Manx) front brakes. They are also used on all rigid\plunger\non-conical rear hubs on the non brake drum side. As always, this bearing is a high quality named brand bearing (i.e. not a chinese bearing!)

Norton Single Models: Twin Row Wheel Bearing

Twin row ball bearing used on all Single Cylinder models (pre-full width hubs) on the brake hub side of single sided front hubs (although strangely not used on SOHC conical front hubs. They are also used on all rigid\plunger hubs on the brake drum side. As always, this bearing is a high quality named brand bearing - NSK (i.e. not a chinese bearing!). This twin row bearing was always much more expensive than the single row fitted to the other side, and is now getting quite difficult to find - but as at the end of 2012 I have managed to get another batch!

Norton Wheel Bearing - Felt Steel Cup

This is the distinctive steel cup, which is pressed into the end of both front and rear Norton hubs on the brake side, and retains the felt washer, to stop grease escaping into the brake drum. This version is identical to the original Norton version (one of which was used as the template for these), and is useful, as originals often get bent and distorted as part of fitting new wheel bearings

This distinctive shaped press steel wheel bearing dust cover is the one commonly fitted to 'cotton reel' type hubs - i.e. pre plunger (i.e rigid frame) rear hubs and those front hubs that had the 'bolt on' brake drum on all Norton models - it being slightly conical in shape.  Fitted to most pre-war OHV/CS1 and SV models, including WD models.

Norton Wheel Hub Bearing - Locking Ring (Non Brake Side) - All Models (Each)

Product no.: 1038 A2/440

This steel fine-threaded ring with 4 distinctive holes (to allow the ring to be rotated and locked) was fitted to the none-brake side of Norton hubs on all models from the 1930's through to the late 1950's, to retain the wheel bearing.  It is normal when trying to remove an original ring, to find that the small holes have been badly chewed, because a punch has been used to lock them in the past, so finding good ones is now difficult.  These rings are CNC machined, an original Norton ring having been used as the pattern.  See detail listing for more information.  Price is each.
