This barrel was fitted to those competition clutch or brake levers that did not have a slot in the blade for the cable to feed through.

This was because most of the distinctive long bladed competition levers were made of a thinner gauge than stnadard levers and cutting a slot would have weakened them.

These barrels are copied from a very rare original item and are now almost impossible to find. They are identical to the original other than being CNC machined in Stainless Steel. These are as fitted to our competition clutch\/brake lever sets - and were normally standard fitment on SOHC and competition bikes.

This item consists of one cable barrel and one circlip (i.e. two would be required per motorcycle - one for clutch and one for brake)

Please note dimensions (as more than one type of competition type levers exist) - these barrels are designed to fit into a 0.375" lever hole and the distance between the shoulder and the split pin hole is 0.475".  They are designed to feed in a pear shaped cable bullet into the cable slot.

Bullet style gearchange rubbers (as fitted to BSA Bantams) for fitting to non-ballended clutch and brake levers, as a safety feature. This was a period mod before the introduction of ballended levers (or the special plastic lever shields made in the '60's). Imperial thread angled grease nipple of type with angle/finish similar to that originally fitted to Norton wheel hubs, girder fork blades and other areas where the small straight grease nipple did not give easy access.  Also comes with correct size red fibre washer.

These are a good quality UK sourced grease nipple - and most importantly, we obtain specially with the original style 'silver' coloured plating (unlike most modern grease nipples, which are mostly only available  in a gold coloured plating supplied - which looks totally wrong on a British historic motorcycle).  We also supply each grease nipple with our high quality red fibre washer (sold seperately  as Item 0097), which is both very hard and the correct slim diameter - so looks correct when fitted.

These types of small straight nipples were normally fitted on most Norton single cylinder models - commonly to wheel hubs and girder fork blades, or other areas where a straight nipple did not give good access, as per photographs.  As many original grease nipples lock up and stop working with age, replacing with these is practical - and is one of those small touches that give your a restoration a nice detail touch

This is the distinctive kidney shaped rubber shroud that fits over the input wires on the pre-war and immediate post-war Lucas Dynamo - where those dynamos were fitted with a flat bakelite cover, on the Lucas Magdyno units.

Although I cannot be exact on when this type of 'short' dynamo with bakelite cover (as in one of the accompanyning photos) was fitted to Norton singles (and other marques using a similar Lucas Magdyno unit) - I believe it was approximately 1937 - 1951 (although this may vary be a year or so each way).

for these models, the two dynamo wires were screwed into the bakelite cover with a brown fibre plate holding them in, then this rubber shroud fitted over those wires so they were not exposed to the elements.  A very handy cover to have as most originals eventually perish

Reproduction 3.5" rubber cable tie, of the 'wobbly' type. suitable for securing wiring and cables on the smaller frame tubes.

As universally fitted to most British motorcycles - a period fitting when restoring your bike, I tend to use them for keeping controls cables together when routing them around the motorcycle.  They can also be used for securing wiring to the smaller frame tubes - particulcarly rear light wiring

This type is in an attractive Grey colour - which was a period colour for these ties and makes a nice change from Black - it shows the John Bull writing and serial number very clearly
