2.a Parts to fit: Original Amal TT Competition Carburettors

- 4 part tickler kit to fit original Amal TT, RN and 276/289 (standard size) float chambers. This float tickler fits the standard screw in (Type 76) floatchamber top - and is CNC machined by us to the original tickler design and dimensions. Satin nickel plated brass - as per the original items.  See listing for more detail.  

4 part tickler kit to fit original Amal 302 Floatchambers - as fitted to Amal RN and GP (and occasionally TT) carbs from the late 1940's through to the early 1960's.  This float tickler design is very similar to the type fitted to most Amal 276/289, TT, and RN floatchambers - but the shaft is slightly longer than the tickler fitted to standard Amal floatchambers.  Manufactured as per the original in brass, then satin nickel plated. - Tickler spring to fit all Amal seperate floatchamber tickler assemblies.  A common fault with Amal tickler assemblies on Type 276/289 or competition Float chambers (i.e the floatchambers used on TT, RN, GP carbs) is that the original tickler spring either rusts and corrodes, or just compresses after many years of use.  This spring is manufactured to the original dimensions and restores your tickler to its original non-drooping position!. This lock screw is an exact copy of the type fitted to most types of Amal floatchamber screw covers - i.e those floatchambers fitted to Type 276, TT, RN or Dirt Track Carburettors - in fact almost all Amal float chambers that have a screw in top.  

- This is the base plug as fitted to the bottom of (non-remote type) alloy floatchambers on Amal TT and RN carburettors.  CNC manufactured in stainless steel.  Comes with correct imperial red fibre washer

This very rare item is a reproduction of the early TT bellmouth fitted to those early brass TT carburettors, where the carb body has a male thread. The item is chromed as per the original and very nicely made. Note - internal diameter at the point where the thread is reads 1.780" approx, using a digital vernier gauge

Update Jan 2016: Unfortunately we have now sold the last one of these and our supplier does not intend to make any more, which is a real shame.  I have kept one back for myself - please email me if you need dimensions .. . or if enough interest I may consider making them in the future myself

These insulatings seals are 3mm thick and this item is for an internal bore of 26mm (approx 1"), to fit flange fitting Amal carbs.(i.e. 2.00" between studs).  These thick washers can seal as well as insulating the carb from excess engine heat..  See listing for details. Price per each.

Alloy finned 'flange fitting' spacer of the type often fitted to sports or racing motorcycles (and Cafe racers) in the 1950's-1960's.  Fits those types of Amal carburettors with 2.0" stud distance flanges (i.e. TT/RN carbs, Monoblock, Concentric etc). This type is 26mm Bore (other sizes available, see listing)

These 1/4" BSP x 1/4" BSP Nickel Finish 'Lever Type' taps are of the type commonly fitted to competition bikes in period - and in fact, I think this style of tap were original fitment on later (1950 onwards?) Manx models - see listing for more information.  These are nice quality CNC manufactured reproductions of that original design and come fitted with a gauze fliter.  Price is each.

This item is a stainless steel oil/fuel pipe ferrule to fit black rubber style 5/16" internal diameter BSP pipe - of the type often used on Norton models for cambox pipes, breather pipes or similar - but this type will fit over pipe with an OD of 14mm.  These are UK manufactured by a specialist ferrule maker.  See listing for detail

Genuine Amal throttle needle to fit Amal MkII carburettors - original part number 2036/077

These Hex type 'Push/Pull' 1/4" BSP thread (into tank) and 1/4" BSP outlet thread petrol taps are of the same general design as fitted to most roadgoing Norton models from the 1930's-50's, i.e. SV, OHV, CS1 and Dominator models.  These particular reproduction fuel taps are CNC manufactured to a higher standard than most others we have seen - and include a gauze filter, and an additional BSP nut and ferrule (whcih means a copper pipe can be soldered in if required).  Price is per unit

- High quality fuel pipes (modern fuel/emission quality 1/4" pipe - fully Ethanol proof) to give that original black rubber finish of period fuel pipes. They have all writing removed and are made up with B.S.P. unions and crimped ferrules, to give a professional finish. These standard length pipes are of approx 10" and 10.5" actual pipe length, which gives enough length for nice graceful curves and to fit all the various Norton International and Manx style tanks fitted with TT Carbs, but also many road models.  

- High quality fuel pipes (modern fuel/emission quality 1/4" pipe- fully Ethanol proof) to give that original black rubber finish of period fuel pipes. They have all writing removed and are made up with B.S.P. unions and crimped ferrules, to give a professional finish. - These shorter length pipes are of approx 8.5" and 9" actual pipe length, which should still be enough for most petrol tanks - including road models fitted with 276 and Monoblock carbs, but we would suggest getting an old piece of tubing and cutting to this size as a test first if you are unsure.
