Ever since the first time I worked on a bike my father always taught me to fit a piece of rubber under the battery to help prevent it cracking - well this pad was made just for that purpose! This pad is 5 3/4" x 3 1/2" dimensions - which is actually meant for the mid 1950's-1960's Lucas type batteries, but can also be used on the earlier narrower type Lucas batteries often fitted to Norton's on rigid and plunger framed versions, simply by trimming an inch or so off one side.

They ae also a good idea to trim and fit inside our black plastic reproduction battery cases - when fitting modern gel type batteries inside - because again, it offers some damping from the vibration of a British Single!
