Engine Plates And Fabricated Parts

Product no.: 0200 Info6
I am now able to offer a selection of lasercut engine plates to fit both International and SOHC Manx models in both 350cc and 500cc variants. In most cases these plates are replicated from originals and have been trial fitted to frames. It is important to point out however that even with genuine Norton engine plates, it is rare to find two sets of plates exactly the same!, they often had small variations. Because of this, for the most common types I can offer them fully drilled or semi drilled, where the final frame hole is left blank, so you can drill it to fit your own frame and be sure it is correct. If you are not sure which set to buy, I am prepared to offer to send both types, and then if the fully drilled set does fit, you just send back the other set or vica versa. Obviously, while offering this service I do expect you to pay for extra postage to send the unwanted set back to me! I am also increasing the range all the time to include new brackets and fabricated parts, like the oil tank brackets fitted to both Manx wrapround tanks and International half wrapround tanks. In nearly all cases, these parts are modern lasercut and are copied from originals using special scanning software and then replicated using Autocad drawings

Norton Footrest Rubber/Assembly - Set (Pair)

Product no.: 0211 A11/509(S)
This Norton footrest set consists of the Norton 'D' type rubbers, the complete tube and both 'D' shape plates, as well as the two long bolts that hold the rubber footrests in place. In fhis form the complete assembly can just be slid over the original centre footrest shaft, and then retained by the big (chamfered) end nut, as per originals. Couple of things to note - these are made complete by my offshore (cheap and cheerful!) company, so may not be exactly the same as my lasercut plates (which are taken from originals), but are very good value for money . . . I could not get them made in the UK for this amount! The other minor point to note is that these are obviously for road going Inter's. If you want the proper correct early Manx type, with the tab to stop the foot sliding off, then you need to look at the lasercut plates I also supply.

Norton Embossed Pillion Footrest Rubbers - Rigid/Plunger Type

Product no.: 0429 A2/583
Nice copy of the pillion footrest rubber - as shown in the 1948 Norton Spares catalog . . . which are of the correct type used in conjunction with the pressed steel footrest hangers which were used by Norton's on all Rigid and Plunger framed models of the 1930's/40's/50's. These ones are also embossed with 'Norton' on them (shown very faintly in the 1955 catalog as being correct), which looks good

Pillion Footrest Rubber - Swing Arm Type - Pair

Product no.: 0430 H12/583
These pillion footrest rubbers are of the type shown in the 1955 Norton Spare Parts Catalog as being fitted to the swinging arm frame which was used for the Norton ES2, Model 19S and Dominator in the mid/late 1950's. For this type of frame, the earlier (wider) pressed steel pillion footrest was replaced by a more normal 'bar' type footrest hanger - with this type of pillion footrest rubber. I cannot be sure, but I think this type of rubber was also used on Featherbed Internationals and Dominators. Price is per pair

Oil Tank Bracket for Manx Wrapround - Central Fitting, Long

Product no.: 0213 A11M/297
- Fabricated bracket that secures Manx wrapround oil tank to the frame bracket underneath the saddle - This item is lasercut to the same pattern as shown in the 1948 Norton catalog. Note: this bracket is approximately 8cm between centres, it does not fit the 1949-50 style alloy Gardengate tank, which has wider (bolthru) centres and is approximately 14cm between centres. That particular bracket was made from steel tube (similar to used on mudguard stays) with a gradual curve - and a steel bracket welded to the centre of this tube that goes to the rear of the mudguard. . . sorry I do not make that particular bracket

Road Internatonal - Voltage Regulator Clip

Product no.: 0217 A11/843
- This fabricated bracket uses the same mounting point on the frame, under the seat, to locate the Voltage Regulator. - This item is lasercut to the same pattern as shown in the 1948 Norton catalog and is copied from an original item. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the thickness of the steel originally used for this item, I have to use Oxy Acetylene to allow the item to be bent, and requires a lot of force. Because of this some slight marking to the larger face is inevitable - however, the item is linished after bending, and primer filler painted - so is virtually unnoticeable after topcoating

Period Style Bevelled Lip Racing Number Plates - Alloy Single

Product no.: 0227 NumPlt05
I already sell similar style racing plates to these, in coloured plastic, but for those purists who need to know that underneath the paint is real metal - I can now offer these heavy gauge aluminium number plates, which are spot on for your original racing restoration. For practical racing purposes, I still think you are better off using the plastic versions that I already offer - they are lighter and come ready coloured - so you dont rip the paint off every time you change numbers, but if originality is your bag, then these are the plates for you! Unfortunately, the other catch is that they are a lot more expensive - but you pays your money and takes your choice!
