This item is for a chromed 7/8" handlebar which were manufactured to the Norton Commando Interstate (European/UK model) profile. However, they also look very similar to the original Norton 500T Trials profile. They are also suitable for a touring or WD road model if you prefer a more upright stance.
Although we would not normally stock Commando parts, these handlebars also looked similar to the original Norton 500T Trials handlebar pattern - so thought they were worth adding to our range. I have included a picture from an early 1950's Norton Model Range catalog - which shows a late model 500T Trials Norton. As you can see the bars have a similar upright profile, but with the extremity of the bars coming back slightly - as these handlebars do (while many other proprietary Trials handlebars seem to be almost straight in that axis). They could also be a potential choice for WD style 16H/Big 4 type handlebars.
They are also worth considering if you prefer a bike with a more 'sit up straight' riding position.
The final picture shows these handlebars compared to our other bars in the range - and alongside what I believe could be an original set of 1" WD 16H handlebars (which came from old friend Titch Allen many years ago), for comparison.
These handlebars are a nicely made from an established manufacturer and include black rubber plugs on either end
