Rubber Base Mat For Lucas BatteryProduct no.: 0435 LUC009
Rubber base pad to fit under the Lucas 'hard rubber' style batteries. Ever since the first time I worked on a bike my father always taught me to fit a piece of rubber under the battery to help prevent it cracking - well this pad was made just for that purpose! This pad is 5 3/4" x 3 1/2" dimensions - which is actually meant for the mid 1950's-1960's Lucas type batteries, but can also be used on the earlier narrower type Lucas batteries often fitted to Norton's on rigid and plunger framed versions, simply by trimming an inch or so off one side. (Note: if you have a 'T' shaped battery and battery carrier you do not need to fit this type of mat)
