Latest News : RacingNorton E-Shop Update:
27/02/19: Family Illness - PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING ORDER
Although we are still taking orders and Steph is now back at work, we do still have family illness (including myself!), and therefore orders may take longer to process than normal, and this is likely to continue for some time.
If you do place an order - Steph will contact you shortly after placing it to give an indication of timescales if she cannot deal with it immediately, but please bear in mind that we are also dealing with manufacturing and restocks as well as new orders, so may not be able to respond immediately.
And sorry - but as my email two weeks ago - if you are in a hurry, we are very sorry - but we may not be able to meet your immediate needs.
We are also busy re-stocking many popular parts as it has been a very busy 12 months, so some of the more difficult parts to make are out of stock and may be some time until we will have new batchs made.
Final update: Steph who does all the mail order will be out of the office between 4/3/19 - 10/3/19, so we will not be able to respond to anyone placing new orders or enquiries over that period, Steph will contact you on her return.
Paul Norman and Steph Norman
Phoning: As a final note - I notice I am getting occasional phone call queries on my mobile phone. Although I know this may be normal for some small businesses - I am sorry, but will never take phone calls from numbers I do not recognise - as my phone is supplied by my main 'day' job and I only take calls I recognise for that job.
Therefore if you do wish to contact us for information, please email through the normal process or firstname.lastname@example.org email and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you do not get a reply - just try again, as we often get more query emails than we can reply to and they will occasionally get missed. Thx.
24/02/19: Latest Update - New Parts and Re-Stocks
As you can see from the update above, January and February 2019 has been a difficult time for us with some serious illness to various members of the family and some time having been spent visiting hospitals. Some of this is ongoing, so may not be able to dedicate as much time to this busy as would be ideal.
However, we have not been idle by any means and many restorcks and new part development has continued, here are some of the main updates :
- Rocker Pads: New stock of Std, +2 thou, +5 thou sizes back in stock 20/2/19: Cambox Section
- Valve Collets: New stock of 11/32", 3/8", 5/16" valve collets back in stock 19/2/19: Head and Barrel Section
- SOHC Engine Bolts: We have now created a new catalog section to show all the different engine bolts we have recently CNC manufactured, including in-depth information of their specification and which models they are to fit. We still have a few further variations to list, email on sales email if any you require are not shown. They are in the following new section: SOHC Engine Bolt Section
- SOHC Petrol Taps (with Sump) - Latest Update: Many customers have been asking about these. Unfortunately my normal manufacturer through serious illness is now unable to make them. In the last two weeks I have taken back the stainless steel material that was with him and am writing the CNC programs to attempt to make them in-house. However, I do not expect them to be ready for sale for at least 2 months (if all goes well). Please email normal sales email for updates and apologies for anyone waiting for these, but unfortunately unavoidable
- SOHC Vertical Shafts: This is another long term new product manufacture. We have now had a small batch of 500cc standard length shafts made, just awaiting the slots to be milled in these. If all goes well these should be available in the next 4 - 6 weeks
Many other parts constantly being re-stocked or Work in Progress. Email email@example.com if you want an update on any particular part, but please bear in mind current circumstances and allow at least a week for a reply to be received, if you do not get a reply - please just email again, thanks.
16/12/18: Latest Update - Valves: New Stock (inclduing 5/16" Stem)
Hi Everyone, just to let you know a large restock of G&S SOHC valves has just come in. This include all popular sizes and variations for both 350cc and 500cc models - I have just spent the last weekend unpacking and bagging them! For those customers already waiting for a particular valve on backorder - Steph should be sorting through these and contacting you in the next two weeks, but please email us if you want to check on our normal firstname.lastname@example.org email.
Finally, we have also had a batch of 5/16" stem valves commisioned - as fitted to later SOHC Manx engines and early DOHC engines - these are available in 4 variations. Go to our Head and Barrel section to see all valves (but note we will also be updating the drop down listings of some of these as well in the next two weeks): Head and Barrel Section
Engine Bolts and Nuts: The other latest update is to let customers know we have been hard at work for the last 3 months CNC machining Norton SOHC hex head engine bolts of all types - for both 350cc and 500cc engines in stainless steel. We are about 80% completed on these - but many are already completed, I just need to prepare the listings and photographs, which I will be doing as time permits over the Xmas period. However, if you wish to enquire before they are listed - normal email: email@example.com. for more details. As well as the correct BSC threads, they also have correct style Norton heads - for both International and early Manx models. Not cheap, due to the setup and effort of small batchs - but v nice!
Best wishes and Merry Xmas

Site Status: We Are Currently Open
But please read our Terms of Business from 2017:
20/1/17: We have re-opened for the New Year, but may only be open for limited periods of time each month – dependent on the level of orders we receive, as myself and our staff are only able to do this Norton Parts business part time.
My daughter Stephanie manages the office and the mail order side of the business (part time) – so you should see her reply to most emails. She is very friendly and efficient – but is not a motorcycle person – so please bear this in mind when emailing on our Sales email. We try very hard to keep our customers informed, but because of the number of orders we receive - sometimes it may take time to come back to you, but all orders placed will get responded to, please bear this in mind when placing orders - after an automated acknowledgement email, it may take some time - but we will respond to you when Steph gets to your order, thank you.
Please read the notes below, particularly regarding where to send differing email requests - this is really important, as if not sent to right address they will not get replied to
Paul Norman, January 2017
If we are closed: the ‘Items’ button on the left of the screen will not be present - to prevent items being ordered. If this is the case – please read the note below for opening times. It means we are dealing with a backlog, of orders and will take your email address and email you so you know when the catalog is back up – to ensure you are prioritised as the next person in the queue.
Here is our latest Newsletter, summarising 2016 and an update on on latest news: Newsletter26
Please Read our Terms and Conditions before placing any order
It is very important you do this and fully understand them to avoid any disappointment:

Catalog Opening Times
If you wish to place a new order and want further information on when we will next be open, then please email the following address: OpeningTimes@racingvincent.co.uk
If you have a technical enquiry or want technical help – please email at the following address: TechnicalQueries@racingvincent.co.uk
But please remember – as well as this business, I work in a full time day job and only have very limited time available left for answering your queries. Therefore, I can only answer these queries as I have time available (and as I work very long hours in the day job, I am unable to take phone calls, sorry). If I have not replied back in two weeks, do not take offence – just try again!
Please do not send technical queries to any of the other email addresses – they will be ignored without exception.
Sorry – but we are only open part time, and already at capacity just dealing with customer’s existing orders on the ‘Sales’ email – therefore anything else sent to that email address will be deleted, I hope those of you that have already placed orders will understand the reason for this - we want to ensure we can prioritise what time we have to completing your orders
