1.j Norton Gaskets/Seals for SOHC, OHV, SV Models

- This is the distance piece that betweens the cams and the cambox back bearing. Pattern taken from original SOHC pre-war Cambox.  

Correct (and as per original) 1/4" BSP 'One Way Valve' - as fitted to all Norton singles, including all SOHC, OHV and SV models - this item screwing into the recess just above the drive side main bearings, allowing the engine to breathe correctly. July 2023: Now back in Stock 

- Good quality Copper washer suitable for 1/4" BSP fittings on most Norton SOHC/OHV/SV engines - i.e. One Way Valves, Breather Unions and Crankcase Oil unions. They can also be fitted to 1/4 BSP petrol taps if required - see listing for details. Sold as a pack of 3

These are the unions that screw into the crankcase behind the timing chamber - it is the smaller 1/4" BSP side that screws into the crankcase, the larger side is 3/8" BSP and takes the distinctive large oil pipes fitted to Norton Internationals.

Traditional brown oil resistent paper type gasket to fit on the base of 500cc OHV barrels. Also can be used for some SOHC Models.  See detail listing for more information  

This is the small red fibre gasket that was fitted on to the lipped steel union on the outside of the gear oil pump fitted to all Side Valve and Overhead Norton models - and connected the oil feed to the outer timing cover.  We supply 2 x normal thickness as well as 3rd thinner washer -  See detail listing for more information

This item is the distinctively shaped twin hole top pushrod rubber seal that was fitted to all OHV 1938-47 models.  This model had its pushrod tubes closer together than the later and more common 48-56 OHV models, and this rubber seal is now extremely difficult to find.  Ours are manufactured specially for us from high quality oil resistent nitrile rubber.  See listing for more information.  Price is each.

This gasket set consists of the 2 x bottom extra thick Red Fibre seals that were fitted to the 1939-47 type OHV engine bottom pushrods.  This is particularly difficult seal to find now and we have had it made specially for us.  Price is per pair.

This is the oil delivery or return union that was fitted to the crankcases of most pre 1950 OHV and SV crankcases (as well as breathers on some of the SOHC models).  These look just as per the Norton items and are CNC machined by us in brass (as most originals were)

This is the gasket fitted to tappet covers on all OHV models (i.e. Model 18, ES2, Model 19) between 1938 - 1947.  Manufactured in cork gasket material - check listing for details of model fitment

This is the aluminium head gasket of the type fitted to OHV engines (Model 18 and ES2) between 1948 - 1955.  See item listing for fitment information

If you own a Post-1948 norton model, with a drain plug in bottom of the crankcase, then it will either have been fitted with 1/8" BSP sump plug - or sometimes a 7/16" threaad plug - If the thread measures 7/16" OD - then these are the correct fibre washers for that plug.  Also used at the back of the SOHC Cylinder Feed Bolt. This (large) Tappet Adjuster Gasket fits late (56-60) Norton ES2, Model 50, Model 19S OHV pushrod models. It is made from high quality oil resistent thick gasket card material, as per the original

This gasket set consists of 2 x bottom O Ring rubber seals and 2 x top rubber tube seals of the correct type to fit the OHV pushrod tubes of the shorter 1956-59 design Supplied as a set of 4.  See item listing for fitment information

This gasket is the large single piece oil resistent gasket that was fitted on the later OHV design from 1956-59 design.  As you can see - the rocker mating faces had a quite different shape to the earlier OHV design, and this gasket incorporates the top of the pushrod area within its casting.

This is a good quality copper/non-abestos type head gasket - of the type that was fitted to Sidevalve Norton engines (i.e. 16H and Model 1 types) through the 1930's up until end of 1947.  It also fits the WD 16H engine, and one is shown fitted to that engine here

This is the oil reistent paper gasket that was fitted to the newly re-designed (civilian version) Sidevalve Norton engines (i.e. 16H and Model 1 types) from 1938 until the end of 1947.  Note that the WD 16H Engine which was manufactured at the same time did not have this cover fitted.  See listing for details

This is the oil reistent paper gasket that was fitted to cylinder base on the  the newly re-designed (civilian version) Sidevalve Norton engines (i.e. 16H and Model 1 types) from 1938 until the end of 1947.  Note that the WD 16H Engine which was manufactured at the same time did not have this cover fitted.  See listing for details
