1.f Norton SOHC Timing Case & Crankcase Parts

- Modern equivelant Dowty washer (outer washer is zinc plated steel, inner washer is neoprene). This washer is used behind the timing chamber filter bolt and also at the back of the rear cylinder crankcase mouth bolt (that has an oil feed)

- Good quality Copper washer suitable for 1/4" BSP fittings on most Norton SOHC/OHV/SV engines - i.e. One Way Valves, Breather Unions and Crankcase Oil unions. They can also be fitted to 1/4 BSP petrol taps if required - see listing for details. Sold as a pack of 3

This is the oil tank union fitted to many International\Manx oil tanks with the larger 3\8" BSP fitting on both sides (crankcase unions were smaller on the crankcase side). Please note - these do not have gauze filters fitted, which the 'Feed' side union would have had originally (I might make some of these in the future). Gauze can easily be added in by soft soldering.

Red Fibre washer that fits over most 3/8" BSP Banjo fittings, as well as 3/8" BSP Oil Tank fittings.  These washers are a good 'sized' fit - which is important for getting a good seal. These are sourced from a top quality manufacturer.  Price is for a Pair

- Essential when rebuilding your engine to ensure that the mainshaft bevel has the correct backlash and position in relation to the lower vertical bevel gear, these mainshaft shims fit between the timing side main bearing and the mainshaft bevel gear - This shim is used once the crankshaft has been shimmed and you are fitting the lower bevel gears. This is for a single shim in one of the following sizes: 

0.5mm/0.3mm/ 0.2mm/0.1mm/0.05mm.  See listing for more detail on thicknesses.

This listing is for a stainless steel mounting stud, as used on magnetos fitted to Norton SOHC Crankcases - this being the slightly shorter version, see also Item 1168 for a longer version.  Normally there were 3 studs fitted to the base of the magneto when used on SOHC engines.  We CNC manufacture these studs to the original dimensions - but this shorter type were more often fitted to Lucas Magdyno's - see detail listing for more information before ordering.  This type of stud were also fitted to many other motorcycle makes using platform mounted magnetos.  Price is per stud

This listing is for a stainless steel mounting stud, as used on magnetos fitted to Norton SOHC Crankcases - this being the slightly longer version, see also Item 1167 for a shorter version.  Normally there were 3 studs fitted to the base of the magneto when used on SOHC engines.  We CNC manufacture these studs to the original dimensions - but this longer type were more often fitted to BTH KD1 type magnetos - see detail listing for more information before ordering.  This type of stud were also fitted to many other motorcycle makes using platform mounted magnetos.  Price is per stud

This listing is for a 'standard' magneto length nut - that fits both our Lucas and BTH magneto mounting studs on SOHC engines.  This same nut can also be used on other motorcycle marques using either Lucas and BTH platform magnetos.  These nuts are CNC manufactured to original dimensions - but have a lip on their platform facing end - so as to not damage crankcase castings if the washer is lost in fitting.  See detail listing for more informaion.  Stainless Steel, Price is Each

This listing is for a 'Long Length' magneto bolt/nut - of the type that were fitted on the rear fitting of the magneto platform on SOHC Norton engines.  This type of 'wasted' extra long nut were designed this way - because then they would protrude down beyond the rear engine plates, and so be easily accesable - to allow for magneto chain adjustment.  This extra long type were fitted to all Pre-Featherbed SOHC models.  They are CNC bar turned to the original 'wasted and 'drilled' dimensions of the original, in the correct imperial Hex stainless steel.  See detail listing for more information.  Price is Each

This listing is for a Featherbed type 'Long Length' magneto bolt/nut - of the type that were fitted on the rear fitting of the magneto platform on SOHC Norton engines.  This bolt is similar to our Item 1170, but the rear magneto mounting nut on Featherbed road models (i.e Featherbed International) were of this shorter length than the pre-Featherbed type.  They are CNC bar turned to the original 'wasted and 'drilled' dimensions of the original, in the correct imperial Hex stainless steel.  See detail listing for more information.  Price is Each

Genuine Renolds magneto chain and one soft link, to fit SOHC 500cc and later 350cc engines. Note, these chains should use a riveted (soft link), not a circlip link. Can also be used on later OHV/SV models.  See detail listing for more information

This item is a genuine Renolds 'soft' link to fit a magneto chain. This type of rivetable link is always preferable to a 'split' type link and would have been fitted orignally. All our Norton magneto chains come supplied with one of these 'soft/rivetable links, but we also sell them separtely here - and it is often handy to keep a couple in your toolbox.  See listing for details.  Price is per soft link and plate.

This item is a Renolds 'split' link to fit a magneto chain. 

First and foremost i would say it is not recommended to fit a half link (or link and a half as it actually is), but I know that on some rare occasions you may have an unusual timing covers where the chain can either be too slack/tight with standard links. Therefore this item is for a Reynolds link and a half to fit Norton magneto chains
