1.c Norton SOHC Head and Barrel

These are the brass union assemblies that screw into the front bevel gear chamber of the SOHC cambox and feed oil to the valve guides, via the small bore copper pipes. Similarly, they were also fitted to many pre-1938 OHV rockerbox's. This assembly is for an Exhaust valve assembly - as the union has a larger oil feed hole than the inlet guide assembly.  Supplied as complete assembly, where pipe can be modelled to fit your engine.  See detail listing for more information.  Price is per assembly.

Hardened Valve Caps to fit 11/32" Stem (i.e SOHC Inlet) Diameter valves.  These have been CNC machined using original period 'Terry' valve caps as the pattern.  These are available in four (4) thicknesses - state thickness when ordering.  See detail listing for more information. CNC Machined top cup, to take tapered collets, to fit all SOHC engines. Note: These top cups are sold complete with a matching set of collets (pair) to fit a 11/32" inlet valve. Although these are made using the original taper, I have found many pattern collets have slight variations and do not seat properly. Therefore these top cups have been machined with exactly the same taper as the collets and are sold as a matching pair.

These are heavyweight UK manufactured hairpin valve spring tongues, an essential for fitting hairpin valve springs to both SOHC and DOHC Norton singles fitted with hairpin valve spring heads.  These are handmade by a UK blacksmith to the original Norton pattern

High quality (UK manufactured) coil valve springs to fit the first Norton OHV models manufactured 1924 - circa 1929, and also the first Walter Moore CS1 models 1927 - circa 1928.  These are the early (small conical top cup ) type - but the longer length (see also item 1135 for shorter type). These models identifiable by having a smaller and more deeply conical type top spring cup than the type that followed in 1929.  See detail listing for more information.  Price is for a set of 4 springs (i.e. enough for one engine)

This item is for a pair of the earliest type OHV Valve Spring Cups - which have a distinctive 'conical' shaped top valve spring cup, with radial holes.  These were used on the earliest OHV models (@1924-28), but were also fitted to the first year of Walter Moore CS1 SOHC models.  But note - these early type were of a smaller diameter than the type that replaced them from approximately 1928 onwards - which also had a conical top cup - so it is very important to read the full item listing before deciding if these are correct for your engine.  Price is per pair (i.e. one top and one bottom cup per pair, two pairs required per engine).
