This is the upper and lower gasket set that fits the alumium tappet cover casting on 1948 -  1955 type side valve engines (similar to the pushrod gasket set for the OHV engine) - with 4 gaskets in the set.  See detail listing for more fitment information

This is the circular oil resistent rubber seal that fits on the shaft of the exhaust valve lifter mechanism on the side of the aluminium tappet chest of 1948 - 55 16H and Big 4 Side Valve Engines. 

If you own a Post-1948 norton model, with a drain plug in bottom of the crankcase, then it will either have been fitted with 1/8" BSP sump plug - or sometimes a 7/16" threaad plug - If the thread measures 7/16" OD - then these are the correct fibre washers for that plug.  Also used at the back of the SOHC Cylinder Feed Bolt. This gasket set consists of the 2 x bottom extra thick Red Fibre seals that were fitted to the 1939-47 type OHV engine bottom pushrods.  This is particularly difficult seal to find now and we have had it made specially for us.  Price is per pair.

This is the oil reistent paper gasket that was fitted to the newly re-designed (civilian version) Sidevalve Norton engines (i.e. 16H and Model 1 types) from 1938 until the end of 1947.  Note that the WD 16H Engine which was manufactured at the same time did not have this cover fitted.  See listing for details

This (large) Tappet Adjuster Gasket fits late (56-60) Norton ES2, Model 50, Model 19S OHV pushrod models. It is made from high quality oil resistent thick gasket card material, as per the original

This gasket is the large single piece oil resistent gasket that was fitted on the later OHV design from 1956-59 design.  As you can see - the rocker mating faces had a quite different shape to the earlier OHV design, and this gasket incorporates the top of the pushrod area within its casting.  

This is the gearbox kickstarter spring, as fitted to most Norton Upright and Laydown gearboxs (pre-AMC) from 1930's to late 1950's. Original kickstarter springs commonly wear on Norton gearbox's - often identifiable by the kickstarter moving backwards by its own accord on takeoff from standstill.  Read the detail listing for fitting instructions

This is the gearbox kickstarter spring cover, of the type that was fitted on all roadgoing Norton model gearboxs from 1934 to 1957 (both Upright and Laydown type gearbox's).  This item has been machined from solid steel bar, rather than the original pressed steel item - using a genuine 'New Old Stock' Norton item as the template.  See listing for more information. This is the gearbox kickstarter spring of the type fitted to genuine Norton 500T Trials models (i.e. from approximately 1949 - 53).  Similar to the standard roadgoing models - genuine Trials gearbox's employed a shorter kickstart shaft, to give better foot clearance - hence the kickstart spring was also narrower.  These springs are UK manufactured using a genuine 'New Old Stock' 500T kickstart spring as the pattern. Price is each.

This is the clever and distinctive mechanism fitted to Norton roadgoing single cylinder models that were fitted with Amal 276 (seperate floatchamber type) carburettors, from the early 1930's to approximately 1955.  This mechanism allowed the throttle to be lifted easily for cold running.  The assembly consists of adjuster, adjustment block and screw and spring.  This is the later type - with 1/4" BSW thread - see listing for more detail.  Price is Per Assembly
