Stainless Steel Pick Up screws to fit early EIC Horseshoe magnetos - with distinctive conical heads - as fitted to Douglas 2 3/4 hp models and other Edwardian margqes.
CNC machined to the same pattern as an original EIC pickup screw, in stainless steel and lightly polished head. Very rare to find, and normally with mauled screwdriver slot.
EIC magnetos became standard fitment on Douglas 2 3/4hp 350cc models (and I believe a number of other belt drive models) sometime in WW1 - as stocks of german manufactured BTH magnetos dried up in the UK (for obvious reasons). The original bakelite pickups (as sbown in the photos) had a tapered hole to accept the special pickup screws, which had a corresponding taper on the back of their heads (as well as a sliht curve to the front of the head) - and of course are almost impossible to find now. And often - if you do have one of these magnetos fitted still with its original screws, chances are the screwdriver slot is mauled. Indeed, the ones fitted to my own Douglas had screws like this - although still usable, quite diffcult to get any purchase on. My spare magneto was also missing a couple of screws, and later, flat head screws had been incorrectly fitted. These screws are CNC machined to the original taper, and made in stainless steel ... and of course fit the original bakelit pickups correctly. Once fitted - only the small head is visible . . . but at least you know they are correct and wont damage the bakelite!
