This listing is for an in-line wiring harness fuse kit - which has a holder to fit modern 'Mini' type motorcycle fuses.
The kit consists of 10 parts so it can be easily fitted in line with your current wiring harness and battery, to provide a Master Fuse if your current (British bike) harness does not already have one.
The Kit comes supplied with the following parts:
- Main Fuse Holder and Wire loom: This is a rubberised plastic 'Mini' type fuse holder with hood, to protect against damp. The wire is supplied in a single endless loop - simply cut the loop to give two wires, which then can be cut to the required length, their ends stripped to attach the (included) connectors and shrink heat wire protectors - and then attached in-line between the wiring harness and the battery - to give a 'Master Fuse' protection on those (older British) harnesses that did not originally have fuse protection
- One modern 'Mini' Type Fuse: Select amperage of fuse - 20/25/30/35 amp fuses available - see below.
- 2 x 'O' Type Battery Connectors: O type battery connectors of two different sizes - which use modern type electrical press pliers. Select which size most appropriate for the battery connector screws you have fitted
- Male/Female 'Bullet' Type Connectors: These male/female connectors can be used to connect one side of the fuse kit wire, in-line, with one end of the main wiring harness (the other end of the fuse kit going to the battery)
- 4 x Small Sections of Heat Shrink Tubing: 4 pieces of heat shrink tube (2 x small diameter and 2 x large diameter) that can be fitted over connectors to make a neat job and insulate any bare wire. Make sure you fit them over the wires before crimping the connectors, then just use an appropriate heat source close to the tubing, to shrink them over the connectors/exposed wire.
The kit comes supplied with one fuse - select amperage required. The 'Main Fuse' common amperage ratings we can offer are:
- 20 amps
- 25 amps
- 30 amps
- 35 amps
Please state desired amperage fuse to be supplied with kit in the 'Comments' section, when placing order. If no amperage rating is specifically requested - we will just supply the first one we pick - which will be one of the 4 ratings above (and actually . . . who knows on a British bike what rating is likely to be most useful - hopefully fitting any of the above is more useful than having no fuse fitted at all!).
Useful Note If Wishing To Fit Subsidary Fuses:
The amperage rating of the fuses in the photos i.e. 20 amps - 35 amps - would all be classed as 'Master Fuse' amperages - i.e. of a type that you would fit in line with the battery as the harness 'Master Fuse'. However, we also have a range of fuses of smaller amperages - i.e. 2 - 15 amps, in case you wish to fit a second fuse kit in another area of your wiring harness - to a particular electrical item you wish to protect. If requiring a kit with a smaller amperage fuse for this purpose - please state amperage requirement and a note in the 'Comments' section when placing your order.
