Nice quality top ring spring to fit original Amal 276/289 and Monobloc carbs - as per original part 4/235.  This spring is retained by a top screw and stops the screw on top ring from unwinding in use.

As you can see from the photographs, I have shown this clip up against both original Amal 276 and Monobloc carburettors and the clip looks pretty much identical to the original item
