SOHC Eccentric Exhaust Valve Spindle

This is the eccentric pin that fits in the bearing boss at the front of those cambox's that are fitted with provision for an exhaust lifter mechanism (see the accompanying photograph for how the pin fits in this boss). The pin is hardened and has a lobe that overhangs the shaft. When the exhaust lifter cable is pulled it moves the shaft (using an actuator arm that I am currently in the process of manufacturing) and the eccentric lobe acts upon the exhaust valve rocker arm. This is a very rare item to find - and if you are able to find one the chances are the eccentric lobe will be badly worn! These hardened eccentric pins are identical to the original, a 'New Old Stock' item being used as the pattern, even the hollow shaft is replicated, to save weight!
